Hello BJ, I can’t even begin to express to you how sad this video is. It breaks my heart to know that these children felt so helpless that they chose to end their lives. I do appreciate you posting this video because so many people think bullying is a rite of passage and that it really does not hurt anyone. I think maybe thirty years ago when bullying was someone taking your lunch money or knocking your books out of your hands that it was viewed as kids being kids. Unfortunately it is so much more than that now especially since there are so many ways to bully someone. The internet is a bully’s playground now because they can hide and anonymously taunt someone in secrecy from their victims and their families. I believe schools have not effectively found a way to teach children about the effects of bullying. They have peer groups and make brochures and signs that say no bullying but that is not enough. We need to reach out to both sides the victims and the bully’s. Maybe counseling the bully’s and speaking to them on their level to let them know what ever is going on in their lives they can get help too instead of taking their frustrations out on another. I know that not all bullying is because of home life but the majority or at least in my experience bullying is because of home life issues and jealousy. This is a serious subject and I really appreciate you bringing it to everyone’s attention. Tracy
