Victim Standing up for Herself

Up in Michigan, Whitney Kropp was a victim of a prank by a bunch of bullies.  See how she stands up for herself here.

  1. Great video! It really adds to the emotion of seeing a teenage girl recover and fight back from bullying. It's sad to hear her talk about her first reaction and what she may have done had her family not supported her. The result of this story may have been very different had she not had a loving family and that's where the suicidal attempts and successes come in. PACER has a great website for people that are bullied or want to stop the bullying at www.pacer.org. I think it's important for bullying to get the kind of exposure and attention this story received so the people who are bullies know there is an army waiting to fight for the people without a voice or have yet to use it.

  2. So sad that it doesn't always end well. Just a few days ago Amanda Todd, a 15 y/o girl from Canada, committed suicide but left a video on YouTube telling her story. It seems that it started off as a victim of an online predator which escalated to incessant cyber bullying. Even after moving she couldn't get away from it. Very tragic story - so terrible that it takes her death to pay attention to the seriousness of bullying. It's all over the news right now. I posted the link from the abcnews website.
